805 - Reflective Essay on Organizational Theory
There are so many theories of organization and it is important to understand how these can be put into use in libraries and information agencies. This essay was focused mainly on the "chaos" theory of organization and how it would "play out" in a public library atmosphere. By taking a fixed situation and applying the many different organization theories to it, was a great way to see how much can be affected by management style. It is important to remember how a management style will affect everyone - even patrons. Managers/directors must be able to recognize when a change is needed so that their organization can remain successful and foreward moving.
