801 - Beginning Journal
This journal was my very first step into the world of SLIM. It documents the first time I heard of the USA Patriot Act and the Library Bill of Rights. Making a journal was a great way to keep track of where I was in the class. However, its bigger role has been rereading it now, at the Capstone level. I have learned so much more than I even realized and have come further than I imagined possible. Keeping an open mind and staying on top of current events is so important. Librarians have to continually learn in order to be successful and as the world changes, so must we. Dr. Marek was a great teacher and I will forever thank her for sharing with me the joys of public radio and its use as a tool to stay on top of current events.
